Job Description/Responsibilities:
Teaching as required and performing all the usual duties including lesson planning, scoring, and report preparation.

Required Qualifications/Skills

Requirements:

• Preferably a native English speaker (UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand & Canada), but others may be considered based on English language skills, qualifications, and experience.
• Holds a Bachelor’s (or higher) Degree in English or Social Sciences or other related fields from a reputable university
• Has teaching certificate and qualifications (classroom management, course and lesson planning, subject knowledge, learning technologies, and familiarity with student-centered learning approach)
• Has experience in teaching Global Perspectives or other Cambridge Curriculum subjects at an International/SPK School (minimum of 2 years)
• If not a native speaker of English - has a good command of English (equivalent to an IELTS score of 6.0)
• Is familiar with LMS and various learning platforms/media
• Is computer literate
• Is 25 - 50 years old
• Is excited to work as a full-time teacher
• Is a good team player, creative, dynamic, patient, dedicated, and willing to go the extra mile for learning and students
• Has strong interpersonal & communication skills
• Has a passion for teaching and a pleasant personality
• Is easy to adapt to new challenges and students

Salary Range: Negotiable depending upon qualifications and experience.

With IELTS being broken down into 4 sections and the speaking section basically being an improve conversation, you could give the person the benefit of the doubt. Plus it is easier when speaking about something you know instead of being asked random topics and expected to respond in 5 seconds or less.

If you Google the above, you'll find neither has English as a first language, but both are notable figures in Cambridge University's English language programs.

Ability isn't always a result of language or numbers.

As other people have mentioned, the IELTS score of 6.0 is low. I understand this is for A-Level, IGCSE intended for the teacher, not for the student.

Many universities in english speaking countries (if not all) will require IELTS of at least 6.5 with no band less than 5.5 for their admissions. For the top universities they will typically require higher than that. A few might accept 6.0 but they will demand the student to participate in an intensive English boot camp prior to commencing the study.

The IELTS score of 6.5 is just for the courses which don't need high degree of english fluency such as Computer science, Informatics, Engineering or other STEM subjects. For the course like Law, Medicine, they will typically require an IELTS of at least 7.0.

There are many Indonesians people could achieve the IELTS score of 6.0, especially those who have attended IELTS preparation from a reputable IELTS preparation courses such as from the British Council, IALF, etc.

IELTS 6 is the lowest I have seen for that particular test. 6.5 is about the average now. for university.

Some US schools and their requirements. A lot of this have changed as before either TOEFL or IELTS was required. Now, they are even taking Cambridge IGCSE scores. With testing centers shut down due to covid, they saw a need to expand and realized just a test isn't going to determine someone's ability.

WUSTL (which has a really high GRE Verbal requirement when I applied a long time ago to their graduate program) needs 6.5 for IELTS for any program, but:

For programs whose students will need to serve as teaching assistants, do extensive reading and writing, or otherwise meet a particularly high standard of English communication skills, departments may find that a more appropriate minimum score is 7 on the IELTS Academic.
