Does anyone know the process? Based on experience, It seems like I'll have to notify someone and pay money to the Government. Has anyone done this? Thank you.

Is the bike yours or are you the one buying?
Apologies guys, I didn't explain this very well at all. I bought the bike new in 2022 and have all the documentation and taxes have been paid. All paperwork is in order. I advertised on Facebook Marketplace and if/when a buyer takes the bike I'm wondering if I need to go to SAMSAT or somewhere else to relinquish my interest in the bike (like in the US at the DMV).

BTW, the bike is very nice, many extras and has only 2,556 kms on it if anyone is interested. 2022 Yamaha XSR 155

Ok if you are the one selling, the task of changing the ownership falls unto the hands of the buyer. It's their problem. They have to make sure that your ownership book (BPKB) and the motorcycle papers (STNK) are in order.
Usually you need to prepare a signed invoice or receipt reflecting the purchase signed by both parties.
Never give your ID copy to them to allow them to keep on paying the road taxes based on your name. Once you sell it, you're done with it.

When you sell your motorbike It is adviseable to cancell the registration.
