If/when we relocate, I would prefer to be on a KITAP under spouse sponsorship rather than living in Indo with an employer's KITAS.

Would retirement at 58-60 still be required? I would be, presumably, working as an educator.

thanks in advance.

Isn't the official maximum age for foreign educators, 60 years now?

Would that apply regardless of type of visa? Perhaps a part-time or consultant position while on a KITAP would give more flexibility...

:noidea:

so...no replies.

is it even possible to work on a KITAP under spouse sponsorship?

I understand that you cannot work at a school on a KITAP.

Actually, a more accurate version of that statement is;

Schools cannot hire KITAP holders.

makasih banyak. That is the answer then! It doesn't make sense to me, but good to know...if I were to go the KITAP route, then I'd essentially be unemployable in my own profession. :doh:

Indeed. However, you could tutor. You could start a langauge school or bimbel. You might be able to do guest speaking or mentoring or teacher training etc.
