Hello,

I am looking for reliable, tried and trusted immigration lawyer/ law firm who can help with documentation and help avoid any general mistakes in applying KITAS for my spouse.

Please share your recommendations. Thank you in advance

Oh wait, you mean you're a foreigner coming to Indonesia to work, with a foreign wife?
Sorry I thought you were Indonesian with a foreign spouse.

I am local and my wife is a foreigner, she already has visit visa. we need a law firm recommendation other than law Wijaya & Co that advertise in this website.

There are many reports on this forum about getting a kitas for a spouse. Unless there are some very special circumstances, a lawyer would only lighten your wallet quite a bit.

I don't know any such lawyer and I think that you don't need one .

In more than 16 years reading Forums for expats in Indonesia , I don't remember of any member who had a KITAS gotten through a lawyer . Most did themselves or hired visa agents .

I (foreigner) got myself 2 KITAS sponsored by my Indonesian wife (the first in 2010 and the present one in 2023) .

Like me there are many other members who can clarify any doubt you may have about the subject .

... she already has visit visa ...
So :
(1) if the Visit Visa was sponsored by you , a conversion to KITAS is all you need ;
(2) if it is a Visa-on-Arrival/VOA , a transition to a 60 days "Bridge Stay Permit" and then a conversion to KITAS ;
(3) if the Visit Visa is any other type , ask your local Kantor Imigrasi if the way in (2) can be used (unfortunately I don't know why the Regulation only mentions VOA (see it at https://www.expatindo.org/community/threads/bridge-stay-permit.7753/) .

Regarding (2) visa on arrival ... are you sure one can apply for a bridge stay permit?
