Hi all,
I’ve looked through the various forums but didn’t see one for Books or reading material etc.
Is there a book sharing, book swap system in existence or does anyone have books they would lend (for return afterwards) or even sell?

I’ve read my few books and am in need of something new and interesting to read.

Preferably non-fiction but will read fiction too.
Many thanks

Try a google search "second hand books ....name of your area." I had posted a similar thread in the Bali web forum some while ago but got no response from expats.

Hi Bad_azz, no, not yet anyway. I did tinker with reading on my old ipad but prefer a proper book, thanks
I use Kindle & I can now buy the physical e-reader here, it is about the size of a thin paperback to hold and weighs about the same as a regular paperback. The way the Kindle is lit is much better and kinder to our eyes than reading on a tablet/ipad/phone or laptop.
Re physical books, I am no help but if you do decide to go the e-book route, get in touch, I have thousands of 'em.

i recall there's second hand book market in kwitang, senen and jakarta. Not sure if still exist. I remember I found "The Female" by Paul I Wellman; then few year later gramedia released the indonesian edition. One of my favourite book ever.

I tried that but not much to see in my area (Pamulang) so will have to broaden the search. I'm heading back to the UK in the summer so will have to buy a few whilst there. Cheers

There is something I like about having books on a shelf but I may have to go the e-book route and thank you for the offer : )
