Posting links has a glitch?

I tried to post a link to a Youtube video by using the link icon but the video was embedded as a video not simply a link.

Maybe it doesn't matter but...

Yep, I guess it knows a youtube link and embeds it.

That kinda works, by making the text a link.

The one in post #4?

You just type regular text, then highlight it with mouse/cursor, then click on the link icon. Then paste the link in the field that appears.
