Parasi White Sand Beach - North East Bali

This information is a little dated - Scooter can you provide an update please?
We visited this spot, in the week following Hari Raya. It’s about 15 mins driving north from Candidasa and if you get to the petrol station on the right side of the road you’ve overshot the turnoff by 1.5 km. There is a sign “White Sand Beach†and the road is asphalt most of the way - maybe 1.5k. The last few hundred metres is a steep, lumpy track - I’d not try it in a sedan. Access is a few thousand rupiah as is parking at the beach.

The beach is nice but as with most of these on the east coast is steeply shelving making for a nasty little shore dump in any swell. Pleasantly isolated from any other infrastructure. Lots of warung, deckchairs for hire etc, only a few hawkers. The grilled fish dishes we had at one warung were just OK and overpriced by our standard - but we’re used to East Java Ikan Bakar (surely one of the most delicious meals in Indonesia) at small town prices. And we didn’t shop around.

It was very crowded the day we were there maybe a factor of European holiday season (?) and Lebaran.

Verdict - well worth a visit if you’re in the area.
