If I could suggest a more centrist approach. Governments do enough bad on their own, we don't really to make things sound any worse than they are when you put all the cards out on the table. I think most people will agree the world exists somehwere in between 2 extremes. In other words don't think you aren't being manipulated but also be somewhat cautious of what you beleive as well.

Fully agree with this. People are usually tired of these subjects cause some people just overdo it with their theories and at some point it gets borderline nonsense.
Like you said, what's really happening and what can be proven is actually already enough. We don't even have a solution for that, so why would I care if someone was on the moon or not.

People also need to be careful and try to get some media competence and so on. Sure we have the mainstream media/market, but now we also have a full market that caters to "conspiracy freaks" and also makes money with that. Sometimes no theorie seems too far fetched.

Hi Harryopal1, good point about following the money trail. Unfortunately some greedy sick people make a fortune over others dilemma. Even during WW2 the US for one, was making bank in the arms industry and I heard even with the Nazi regime. People don't want to believe this so they turn a blind eye over what's called patriotism. That's the thing, to know what is true and what is BS takes a lot of work, if you really care for any full picture or "truth".
Basically you have to check every source yourself and if people don't name sources then there's the first problem. You might still be a good talker or debater but in the end you still might talk BS. To make this clear, Iam speaking generally here, I don't have any beef with someone here.

So what we basically have to learn is stop being mouth fed informations and let other people tell you how you should think or what is right or wrong. In many areas we have to get up off our a**es and do the work, gain knowledge. Check sources from every side and not just cherry picking, read books from all sides, really check what someone meant or said and not listen to quotes that have been taken out of a 2 hour interview or whatever. We need to get up and take responsibility, that's probably also the only way how real democracies could really work. It's more to it than voting every 4 (or however long a term in your specific country is) years and hope someone does the job for us. I think real democracy will forever be wishful thinking in the current system and we'll most likely will never witness more than its simulation. Probably another stupid theorie. Anyway, and sure, we meet some obstacles that make this whole truth thing very difficult for most people. We can check as many sources and whatever as we can, in case of the pandemic for example, it probably still won't make us a virologist or whatever specific profession is needed. So yeah, the devil is often in the details. Overall we still could do a lot better than now, but yeah, it takes lots of work and discipline.

Are you aware that WHO is an agency of the UN?
Are you aware that the 60+ UN agencies are, by charter, owned and run by the countries of the world, and therefore by their leaders and politicians?
It makes no sense to say the UN has a plan to do x, y or z. They have no capacity for independent action, they are bureaucracies. All they do is implement policies decided by the countries that own them (ie almost every country in the world, with the richer ones having a larger share usually).

Since the countries of the world rarely agree on anything, they have to water down what they do to satisfy all of their member countries. WHO was a good example during Covid, since both China and the US are major funders of WHO but on opposite sides of the discussion. WHO had to somehow find a way to keep both sides happy (which arguably they were only partially successful at). I remember when the head of WHO responded to criticisms during Covid, all he could keep repeating was "we have to follow the wishes of our member states". The unspoken part was "if the member states cannot agree among themselves, what can we do?".

UNFPA is another good example as they provide abortion services, and even within its biggest donor (USA) there is no consensus on whether or not such services should be provided. So when Obama was president they got a lot of funding, when Trump got in he defunded them (other countries made up some of the shortfall).
