I quite enjoy the layout of the mobile site, but a couple things I just noticed...

There aren't any post # indications. A minor issue, but it would be helpful if that were added like on the full site.

I can't seem to quote or reply to other posts... Perhaps the quoted post just isn't shown till you submit? I'll run a test in this thread.

Okay, now I see the Reply function is working. How do I insert a quote? I can "+quote" but then I don't see "Insert quote."

I just had a similar chat about that with E-G on another thread and he put me right.
If you just wish to respond to another post just click reply and it will show...you can edit/delete any superfluous text there. The +quote is when you wish to multi-quote....then you need to scroll down and see the insert quote at the bottom of the blank page....it is then self-explanatory.
I preferred the old 'reply' or 'multi-quote' buttons as they were simple....but there may be advantageous in these that I haven't checked out yet....takes me a while.

edit... dafluff has it...thank you....I live and learn.

Hitting reply next to a post will quote it. If you want to quote multiple posta you hit +quote on all the quotes, then Insert Quotes down below. The advantage is that it lets you rearrange the quotes also.

Finally, and coolest, is you can just highlight a section or sentence with your cursor, then hit +quote and it will add only your selection whene inserting quotes.

That's a good point. The goal of transitioning to XF was also to make the mobile version more usable. So I'll put this in the to-do list.

In the mean time, the time stamp above each post is also a link to the post itself, if you need to link to a specific post.

See this and this.

Thanks guys. I really like the "quote clipboard" as E_G calls it. The new multi-quote system is great on the full site. The problem is I can't find the "Insert quote" button when I'm using the mobile version... Maybe I'm just not seeing it?

@Vicissidude do you not see the button like in the image below when you hit +quote?

No.. The buttons I see are "post a reply," "upload a file," and "more options."

When I hit "more options," it's the first two plus "preview."

I'm using an iPhone.. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Also, I just tried to include a screenshot for you, but it didn't upload.

Which browser are you using? I just tried on iPhone and it works fine for me so I'm unable to reproduce.

So just to make sure, you hit the +quote button, then when you scroll down to the quick reply box, there is no "insert quote" button at all? Do you get any message appearing briefly saying "message added to multi-quote" when you press +quote?

I'm using the standard Safari browser.

That's right.. No "INSERT QUOTE" button appears. There's no message when I hit "+Quote" but it changes to "-Quote".

Blow what?

Screen shots (or any picture) upload could be an issue if the resolution is too high and the file size too big.

Only on the forum, I have no more 'paste' possibility after 'cut' on a selection?! (After a 'copy' it works.) Very annoying, I just lost half of my post.

Safari on the iPad, did not try the iPhone (yet).

I'll look into this. I'm in the process of ditching the current editor to revert to the default one but I need to be able to add more formatting options to it. I have a feeling this might also fix your cut/paste troubles.

Try going to settings, "Safari," and "clear history and cookies." Worked on my iPhone.
