Hello, does anyone here know the exact documents you need to register marriage in Korea first ? ( i am a korean and my wife to be is a chinese indonesian ). I see the two documents required online after asking local offices in korea were the two documents attached.

1. Does anyone know where to get these documents ?
2. Do we need to have a translated version to Korean of these two documents ?
3. It mentions it needs an Apostille, what does that imply ?

Does anyone here who have an indonesian cotizen have any experiences on marrying a korean and registering the marriage first in Korea ?

I would really appreciate it.

I don't know . You better look at the Korean Embassy's website and/or search the internet for your government's information on that .

The 2 documents you showed are to be gotten from your future Indonesian spouse's Kantor Catatan Sipil/Registry Office (the Akta Kelahiran/Birth Certificate she probably already has it) . Check the Registry Office's website (search the internet for something like "disdukcapil kota/kabupaten ...") or go direct to your future Indonesian spouse's local Registry Office .
2. Do we need to have a translated version to Korean of these two documents ?
Your Embassy or your Government can tell you about that . Usually countries first require the foreign documents to be legalized (by Apostille , or by the Embassy , or..) , and later sworn translated (be careful about this , for example in my country - not Korea , only my country's sworn translators are accepted) .
3. It mentions it needs an Apostille, what does that imply ?
Apostille is a type of document legalization . In Indonesia you can do it yourself at https://apostille.ahu.go.id/ , or hire an agent to do it for you (search for jasa dokumen apostille - I suggest you to search inside online shopping platforms like Shopee , Tokopedia , ..) .

Not me , but assuming you want to marry in Indonesia , you need to have a legal Indonesian marriage first (registered at KUA if Muslim , or at Kantor Catatan Sipil if non-Muslim) , then after that you can do the procedures to register it in your country too .

-------------------------------

Note : My above answers were assuming you already know which documents you need to marry and now you just want to know how to register the Indonesian Marriage Certificate in Korea .

From watching marriages in Korean dramas I realized that by "registering the marriage first in Korea" you probably meant "getting the Korean marriage certificate first" , isn't it ?

If so , be informed that for the Korean marriage certificate to be recognized in Indonesia needs to be registered in : the Indonesian Embassy in Korea + in an Indonesian Religious Office/KUA (for Muslims) or in an Indonesian Kantor Catatan Sipil/city's Registry Office (for non-Muslims) .

Also , it seems there are Indonesian KUA and Registry Offices refusing to register foreign marriages which didn't comply with Indonesian Marriage Law . So if you intend to live in Indonesia in the future , you better check this subject too .

Ja, if you're a mixed religion marriage, you MUST register the marriage outside of Indonesia.

This is important.

The original Korean document needs to be authenticated by the Indonesian Embassy in Korea (Rubber stamp important) it may also need to be done by Indonesian Dept. of Foreign affairs. The embassy will be able to tell you.
Then the wedding certificate needs to be translated into Indonesian by a licenced/recognised translator and again certified as a correct translation by the Embassy/Dept of foreign affairs.

My friend was married for 20 years overseas but never got this done at the time and had to jump through some hoops to get it all done in order to get the correct visa. He thought simple ? Get married again. But apparently that is not allowed.

I've had it all done for my Thai document so my Thai wife could accompany me to a job in Indonesia.

This is not what is stated in the Indonesian Embassy's website (see below) . It seems this subject changed recently , because it looks like that in addition to the marriage certificate + usual documents , now the Embassy requires some documents from Indonesia (seems to be the same documents an Indonesian needs to marry in Indonesia) .
