KITAS renewal, entering with VOA

Hi all, I got a VITAS 2 years ago and it expired.

On my last visit to jakarta, i entered with VOA and I was told that I can apply for Vitas again even with this visa.

Is this true?

Is it because I previously had a VITAS that I can get a renewal even when I entered with VOA?

As far as I know you can not get any KITAS with a VOA.
You have to leave Indonesia and enter Indonesia with the right visa.
Within 30 days after entering Indonesia you have to apply for a Kitas.
There are several kinds of Kitas, e.g. Kitas-spouse or Kitas-retirement.
Each with their own requiements.

VOA can't be converted to kitas /p itas/p
Need to apply for C317. Then leave and re enter on that 317 (the old B211)
Then convert that into kitas etc (imta etc etc)
