Recently had my wallet stolen while in Malaysia. In the wallet was my yellow laminated KITAP card. Has anybody been thru the process of replacing the card? I am concerned it will involve major dramas with immigration. I have a Malaysian Police Report.

It may or it may not, depending on the immigration office. However, I would recommend you deal with this right away, as the rules stipulate a lost immigration document should be reported immediately.

There will be a fee involved, anywhere from Rp 1.5 million for a regular 5 year KITAP to Rp 3.2 million for an unlimited E-KITAP.

You should bring with you the police report, your passport, some proof of your status (should be the KITAP stamp in your passport).

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
