Hi All,

We have implemented a dark mode for the forum, as is all the rage right now. If you want it, scroll all the way down and where it says "vBulletin 4 OLD", and change it to "Shades of Grey".

Some possible advantages of dark mode:
1. Less eye strain, especially in darker lighting conditions.
2. Can use less battery power in mobile devices, because it doesn't need to light up the screen so much.
3. It looks cool.

Here is what it looks like:

Enjoy!

It works on my phone... Now, Indo Expat looks like Discord 😎

My screen feels so techy now...like I'm supposed to write codes or something!!
Supah-cool!!

Nice of you to offer up the option .
My take on dark mode here & elsewhere is firmly in the meh, zone.
Offer up some lovely pastel shades & I may be stirred more.
I kinda missed the "emo" phase.

Interesting to hear that it is "all the rage" right now - I've been seeing it a lot in various corners of the web and didn't know why.

I'll go a step further than BA and say that for me it's not just "meh," it's actively unpleasant. I much prefer a lighter screen for readability - but my eyes are weird; I can easily believe other people find the dark screen better. It's nice to have a choice.

Dark mode is particularly useful for reading at night with the lights out. My only minor gripe is that the scroll bar is almost identical to the background.

Will always opt for dark mode given the opportunity - so thanks. It's great!

Seems it can't be set as default & reverts to light mode if you restart or log in, would be nice if it could be set as default.

I set to dark mode from my PC and automatically apply to my phone as well. Set to always sign in, no revert to light mode.
Cool 👍

actually had never given it much thought, but now that I've tried it... it is much easier on my eyes
thanks
