I'm wondering if there's such a list for Indonesian books
like "The New York Times Best Sellers" list ?

I'm not aware if newspapers such as Kompas ever run such a list.

Maybe the list under the same byline as "Books Read by President Trump."

Check out the Ubud Readers and Writers Festival, held annually. I'm sure the latest Indonesian literature is showcased there.

A couple of suggested books:

"Lascar Pelangi" (The Rainbow Troops, in its English translation) was popular a few years ago. Although it was then made into a movie, so that probably caused book sales to tank.

There was also a book maybe 5 (?) years ago by Ahmad Tohari, also available in both English and Indonesian. The English translation is "The Dancer"; original Indonesian is "Sang Penari." Did they make that into a movie too? I think so but am not sure.

Gramedia has an online list of its apparent best-sellers: https://www.gramedia.com/based-on/best-seller

Bukukita.com has a regularly updated list of so-called "best sellers": http://www.bukukita.com/katalogbukuatribut.php?page=1&atrId=1

I once compiled a couple of lists of Indonesia-related fiction and non-fiction, which ended up online here:

Anyone seeking a new, cheap copy of The Dancer should go to the second-hand bookstore at Taman Ismail Marzuki, which has a bunch of remaindered copies of the English edition. Haggle until you get a price you think is fair.

Actually, the Dancer or sang Penari is the movie; based on the trilogy of novels Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk, by Ahmad Tohari.
Highly recommend this book; but my all time favorites is the epic quartet book of Pramudya Anantoer, ie: This earth of mankind (Bumi Manusia), Child of all nations (anak semua bangsa), Footsteps (jejak langkah) and House of Glass (Rumah kaca). I have both Indonesian and English versions.
All Pram's books were banned during Soeharto era. I had to hide just to read it.
These books have been published in more than 30 languages.

Ok for once I'll be serious if you are looking for a book about Indonesia I would highly recommend Indonesia Ect by Elizabeth Pisani. Its about a bule reporter traveling around indonesia. Non fiction.
Not sure what langue you are looking for in your books. But this one is in English and don' know if it' been published in Indonesian

Did you know what is the most published "publication" / book in the world, more than any bible, koran etc?

The IKEA catalogue. True fact. 200 million copies every year

Although slightly off the subject of Indonesian books as there's only one IKE
Yes but it' not that good to read and not to spoil the ending but everything falls apart in the end.

Not only that but they only send you loose pages, and a stapler, and tell you it can be put together in a mere five minutes.

In the book section at Paperclip, the only only books in Indonesian are translations of foreign books and books about religion. Normal books for kids or even adults just don't seem to exist.

Google is your friend- just type in Indonesian novels.
or Goodreads has a section on Indonesian literature.
