Hal is alive and well.

I daresay most of us have seen the prescient "science fiction" film made in 1968 "2001 A space Odyssey" where the space ship computer "Hal" decides to lock out the astronaut from re-entering as Hal has decided the astronaut will impede Hal's function. Well, it seems Hal is still alive and kicking. "US military drone controlled by AI killed its operator during simulated test".
