I don't get it! What is it these people don't understand about Indonesia doesn't recognize dual passports? Either keep one or the other and accept that's the way it is.
You must admit that it is a pain that Indonesia does not recognize double nationality....
It used to be like that in Thailand long time ago, and I remember being obliged to play some smart games when teavellikg to France with our kids. Lucky Thais first closed an eye on it, and then accepted it.

I fail to see any humor in this topic! It is a shame that we have to be this or that nationality. I would prefer to live where I want, when I want. When people travelled two hundred years ago, Did they have passports? I don't think so. Many great artist moved from their home countries and settled in foreign lands. Here Walter Spies, ( sorry for my spelling), Antonio Blanco, and Paul Gaugain in Tahiti, ( spelling again) Ernest Hemingway! So many more I can't name. I don't think they had to have time limits on living in foreign lands, with passports. Correct me if I'm wrong please! What I'm trying say is the world would been denied such masterpieces created by these geniuses if they had been restricted by borders and rules!
With populations growing so fast and so many troubles in the world, people are going to migrate and cannot be stop by borders and passports!
Is it possible to find a solution where there is enough for all? Everyone deserves basic Human rights to a home, food, clean water, a good life for them and their children without destroying this Planet and all the animals that were here before us! Time will tell!

Interesting point of view and not without value.

Would make a very good topic here or around a beer.

But surprisingly passport (or equivalent document of safe conduct/passage) exist since many centuries....

Example the Brits :
"The passport first made its appearance in the reign of Henry V in the form of a 'safe conduct'. The Privy Council granted passports from at least 1540, and one of the earliest still in existence was issued on 18 June 1641 and signed by Charles I. Since 1794, they have always been granted by the Secretary of State, and a record exists of all passports issued since that date. A photograph of the holder became a requirement at the outbreak of World War I in 1914"

And even much earlier for the Chinese :

"Passports were an important part of the Chinese bureaucracy as early as the Western Han (202 BC – 9 AD), if not in the Qin Dynasty. They required such details as age, height, and bodily features.[9] These passports (zhuan) determined a person's ability to move throughout imperial counties and through points of control. Even children needed passports, but those of one year or less who were in their mother's care may not have needed them.[9]"

I learned something today !

A few hundred rich people travelling around the world for artistic reasons is a bit different to a few hundred million poor people wanting to move to new countries for economic reasons.
Of course anyone is free to move to any other country if they meet the criteria and laws of that country. Why should there be laws? Well imagine living in a country without rule of law.

I can't tell if you geniunely beleive what your are saying or low key trolling. Is your house wide open for anyone to come and stay with you without your permission? Are you going to feed them, give them medical care and income just because they show up at your house? If so let me know your address, I know a few thousand people that would be interested.

Well this is a subject I see gets many worked up over, good! I am impressed that someone looked up the facts about passports being effect so long ago. I had no idea. I don't think many people would leave there homes for economic reasons if they had what needed in their home country. But unfortunately many have to leave because of gangs, dictators, heavy military, not just economics.
I would love to imagine living in a country or all the world, with no rule of law except the law of kindness, generosity, good will towards all, plenty of food, water, shelter, education for children, clean air, no pollution, and most of all sharing a good life in Peace! It's a shame we Humans are so sick this is only a fantasy! And we call this life as it is ( Normal)

Welcome to the forum John Lennon.

Imagine no possessions ...

If only you have a life.

It seems that you are jealous of those who have dual citizenship. If you don't like the topic just skip through it, better get a life mate :p

Obviously you have no sense of humour

And I'm British. So I don't really give a fuck.

And not only that but I have TWO British passports. Perfectly legal. Same name. Same photo. No link. But just luck that now one is burgundy pre Brexit and one is dark navy post Brexit.

The burgundy one is full so the next one otw to me is going to be dark navy but from the king not the queen.
So now 2 blue post brexit passports but one from Liz one from Charles.

So not jealous at all about dual nationality.

I've been to Saudi, Russia, Kuwait, Qatar, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Lebanon, Iraq, Malta, France and even USA, Barbados and Brazil. And 107 other countries. But ironically never Canada or India

So no I'm not jealous you have Indonesian passport at all. I probably have more rights here than you do hahaha. The world is phucked up that's for sure.

I didn't say having no possessions! I just said everyone having enough so they don't need what others have. Its OK to share and help each other. John called it The Brotherhood of Man it's really not impossible.

Next will be if you don't like gay people then just ask straight people to stop having sex

Vegetarians if you love animals so much why you eating all their food?

Can't call it that now.
