Dear Members,

My friend is an american citizen and get deported In June 14, 2024 because he use social visa for working. He got red stamp on his passport, I want to ask some questions:
1. is anyone here knows how to do the revoke?
2. is it possible for him to come back to Indonesia? and how long until he could go back to indonesia?
3. if the only way to do the revoke is with the agent help, is anyone here would recommend me the nice agent you might now?
4. how much is the average cost to do that revoke service?

thank you so much, i hope i will get the information 🥹

The request to cancel the blacklist has to be made to the Director General Immigration office directly. Sometimes they cancel it after 6 months minimum and sometimes they keep it in place. Being he has been gone over one year may work for him.

Being that he was deported for working he may have a harder chance right now with the current drive to clean that area up, primarily in Bali, but that comes out of DirGenIm too.

It said he just got deported a month ago.

This happened to me, but some years ago. The process to clear the Blacklist is as fastpitch17 describes. It only cost 5000rp for the meterai stamp, as I recall. But you will need an agent or a friend to go to go to Director General Immigration office on your behalf.

However, as I was deported out of another city (not Jakarta) I first had to get a letter from the local Kepala Kantor Immigrasi (the one I was deported from) saying he was ok with me clearing the blacklist. This cost me two leather handbags (assumedly for his wife, but who knows). Again, I was lucky enough to have a friend in Indonesia who did all this on my behalf.

A letter was issued I cleared the Blacklist and have had no trouble coming and going or getting ITAS since.

There is a well written information in here. It was written in January 16, 2017, so it might need updating from those who have done that recently.
