My dear Expat mates, I don't know If someone posted the same or a similar thread before. Therefore, I beg your pardon if so. I am confused over a few matters regarding my ITAS to ITAP conversion. This morning I've submitted all the necessary documentation to Local Imigrasi Kelas I here in my city. A few hours following my submission, they called me back for photo and that fingerprint thingy. Once it's done, I've asked the guy who took my fingerprints and photo about the ETA of my ITAP. He said, it would take 3 weeks and no more. Tbh, I got a bit confused as I always heard it takes months to receive one ITAP. The guy there said there is also no family visit as it is just an ITAS to ITAP conversion. So does this conversion mean it is really just a conversion or will I get the ITAP after three weeks or etc. as he said so ? And, what's about all that "no-family visit" thing? He said, you'd be visited by Imigrasi for your second ITAP apllication. Please enlighten me dear mates. You've been efficiently helpful so far for all my matters :) I'd be happy if you'd share your own experiences instead of sharing regulation links regarding this conversion

If you've had the photo then the process is almost done. I was never visited by immigration either for KITAS-KITAP conversion, or for KITAP renewal. For me on both occasions the process took around 28 days.

As he said. Yes.
Fast these days. Not many bule here. They don't always visit. They have spies. Prints and pic done is almost last step
Congrats

Hello again my dear expat mates. Just wanted to inform you all, been more than a month now but still no progress on my KITAS to KITAP conversion (though it was said to be completed in three weeks or so) . On my visit to my local imigrasi, they said "it is pending approval from the Directorate General of Immigration, Jakarta" All other steps are completed, this is said to be the final step.

Anyway; I have a question,

There are basically two buttons (blue) on "izintinggalonline" site. One of them is "print perdim" and the other is "resend notification" well, ok; "print perdim" is something easy to understand but what about the other button's "resend notification" function? Why would an applicant "re-send" a notification to imigrasi ? Is there something I miss out ?

Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated

I had waited 3 months for mt KITAP renewal. Not unexpected since it was during the Covid slowdown but local Im kept telling me to check back and every time I did they would say, still not signed yet by DirGenIm. Dir Gen Im never answers their phones so here is what I did. I sent an email through their website.

I said I was seeking information from them. I mentioned that I have been waiting for their approval for 3 months but understood with covid it would take longer than normal. I asked if they could possibly provide me with some kind of normal timeline I should expect during the current slowdown.

2 days later I was contacted by my local Im that it was signed and I could pick it up.

I think that my email may have been a simple reminder or a hint to look up my name and see what was going on. No matter, I think my email got things moving.

Is there an immigration visit for Kitap extension from 5 yr to 10 yr?

Thanks.

Having had a lot to do with immigration over the years in both Australia and Indonesia I believe it is helpful to put a number on each document on the top right corner and then have a front paqe listing the numbers and title of each document. Without this it seems officers will spend a lot of time looking for a particular document and rustling backwards and forwards through the paper work. By making it easier for Immigration officers to find documents then it is less likely the application will be put aside for later if they have difficulty in finding something.
