Greetings everyone,

I’m Daniil from Russia, I earn my living managing leased Mi-8 helicopters in various interesting countries around the globe.

Have been to Colombia, Ghana, Nepal and Afghanistan. Staying in the country since the start of the pandemic and am going to be here for the foreseeable future.

So far I’ve been just extending my Business Visa, its probably time to start looking for something more long-term.

Cheers and good health everyone!

Hi Daniil, welcome to the forum.
I hope you manage to find a suitable visa :)

Privet Daniil,
Welcome aboard - wish you "enjoy" this forum
Sometime I see the Mi-8 flying above here in Cairo

Привет. Вы откуда в России?

If I am not mistaken the Mi-8’s are operating on seasonal contracts issued primarily by the BNPB for fire-fighting ops in Sumatera and Kalimantan. The contracts are issued to ‘local’ agents who in turn contract with foreign Operators for the supply of Helo’s and crew, so the option put forward by R Cameron may not be entirely feasible. However, requesting the ‘local’ AOC partner to do so would be the better option as all ops staff are notionally employed by the local operator. Just my 2 cents worth
