A School Building collapsed in East Java

Not surprised with the quality or lack of in most buildings throughout east Java . They've been doing renovations to one of the mosque's here where I live for the last 15 years , it's now 3 stories high with fancy domes etc etc . I'm sure the only thing holding it up is the bamboo scaffolding ...

    Australian aged pension

Yes , sounding more like B/S the more I try to find out . The way it's going they'll push through the proposed law that expats already overseas before qualifying age won't get the pension at all and they'll raise the age again . Already been tried once .

    Australian aged pension

The average Australian probably could yes . But that's just there pension that the tax payer pays for , it would be near double that with all the perks and lurks they get on top . And look at the years of service !!! We've got to do a minimum of 35 years to qualify for a full pension then if we...

    Australian aged pension

Yeah , you'd think the 35 years , in my case nearly 40 of paying a percentage of our taxes into what we were told would provide us a pension would qualify and exempt us from this ridiculous 2 year rule . I bet a Politician who can retire well before the age of 67 , get the pension/golden...

    High mineral rate causing corrosion

Yep , cooler to have a fancy labelled bottle with a mountain spring showing as the source which sell for 3,000rp-300ml and 5,000rp for 1.5 ltr which more than likely comes out of a town water tap that never sees a proper filtration plant . I buy the 19ltr bottles for 5,000 rp which comes from a...

    High mineral rate causing corrosion

I'm sure it has an effect . I've developed dry itchy skin on my scalp and what I think is eczema on my forearms and back which I never had before . Constantly having to use conditioners , moisturizers and medicated creams . I'm by a salt water river which also effects the quality of the ground...

A lot of the plastic fittings have steel or poor quality stainless internals , was constantly replacing them as well until I found these with the nylon internals . I'll get the brand and let you know .

    High mineral rate causing corrosion

The quality is second rate compared to other countries , chromed steel , low grade stainless etc . I replaced all my expensive chromed fittings several times over the 10 years since I renovated . Lot of problems with the chromed steel fittings rusting /corroding into the wall sockets and...

    Australian aged pension

Think you'll find you can't as Australia and Indonesia have no Social Security Agreement . You'll have to return to Australia to process any claim , convince them you've return to live permanently in Australia and if the claim is approved remain there for 2 years as per the 2 Year Portability...

Is this a recent change ? I looked into this several months ago and from information on the Australian Government web site it stated that I couldn't claim from Indonesia as Australia and Indonesia have no " Social Security Agreement " as of November 2024 . Meaning I would have to return to...
