Can someone recommend a lawyer or who can help resolve a complex immigration status? Basically, my mother was married to an Indonesian who passed away about 2 years ago. Now, her Kitap has expired (in April).

Any recommendations for an agency (especially in Bandung) or a law firm that can help to get her Kitap valid again to remain in Indonesia?

Appreciate any advise or any information on this.

If it's expired its done
Especially after so long. It's not like a few weeks

Need to start again on year 1 of a kitas and find sponsor etc
Maybe there is a law for widow but not sure

I don't see what a lawyer would add. You\she can just go to the immigration office and ask them.
I think the rule is if she has been married for 10+ years she has a right to a kitap but she needs to have another sponsor (eg from the family).
But she should have done this shortly after the death (30 days?).
If shorter than 10 years, then it's back to square one unfortunately (Kitas with sponsor). The issue of her status during the last 2 years may also come up.
