Well, detained pending flights resuming.

Unpopular opinion: if they were local they would've gotten away scot free. There is not a single law in Bali that they have broken. All the social distancing, mask wearing etc, rules in Bali are suggestions.

Even the Governor's letter has the word HIMBAUAN (suggestion) as a title, and further emphasized by bolding the word in the text.

I do think that these covidiot expats should be deported, but it should be because they actually broke a law, not because of internet outrage. The government needs to issue actual laws and enforce them, for everyone.

"Hippies" -- have not heard that term for a while. Maybe the definition has been updated to include bules tourists who frequent "luxurious Bali yoga retreats" or more likely, the post-boomer generation author of the story, does not know what he (or she) is talking about.
