Hi Everyone,

I am planning to go back home to the states and wondering if I will have any issues coming back to Jakarta. I will be leaving in June 2021 and stay for one month. Currently, I am holding a social family visa that is good for six months, renewed every one month. This is my second visa renewal

I am aware the borders are closed at all major ports in Indonesia. However if I have a social visa that have not expired yet, will I have any problems coming back to Indonesia due to Covid-19 even if I will be vaccinated?

That visa does not have re-entry permit, if you leave the country the visa automatically expires. With current regulations you would be able to apply for a new one from the US and enter with that, and do a 5 day quarantine in a Jakarta hotel. There are rumors of new policies for vaccinated travelers from certain countries to come directly to Bali, but as of now there have been no policies made about exceptions for vaccinated people.
